Paris in June 2026 – is it worth going? Weather and reviews, air temperature, how to dress, prices in hotels and on excursions. What to do and what to see in Paris in June, where to go with and without children, go nearby – tells Eurotraveler.
June is the best of the summer months for educational and sightseeing trips. At least, if it happens in Europe.
After all, in most locations at this time it will be hot, if not too hot. This means that you will be able to see more without suffering less. That is, it is possible that they did not suffer at all: neither from the heat, nor from stuffiness, nor even from crowds.
The ideal solution for an inquisitive tourist? Actually, not always.
Take, for example, June in Paris. It is usually very warm, sometimes even hot, time. Obviously attractive to many – when else to go to the French capital, if not in the summer?!
For this reason, June is still not the best month of the year to visit Paris… But it is possible to turn such a trip into a vivid and memorable event in life. And now we’ll tell you why!
Weather in Paris in June
It does not always fully meet the expectations of travelers. After all, they want what? Wander the streets a lot, getting stuck on embankments and observation decks. See the main sights in Paris without wasting too much time.
Perhaps you can try French cuisine from those that are more original. And not just anywhere, but in a famous place like Cafe de Flor.
And, of course, what kind of tourist wouldn’t want to go shopping. Surely he should bring gifts from France and something to remember him by?!
So, the weather in Paris in the first half of June will generally contribute to almost any activity. It will not force tourists to overload backpacks and bags with supplies of drinking water, and will require shading their heads and faces with hats and caps to a minimum.

Yes, it will strongly require the presence of umbrellas and (or) raincoats. But…
However, in order!
In early June, the air temperature in Paris during the day can reach 24-26 °C. Which seems to provoke strolling around without thinking about clothes more substantial than a sundress, shorts, T-shirt.
However, a walk through Montmartre, the Parisian boulevards, and the Seine quays in the evenings will require the presence of a jacket or sweatshirt on your shoulders. Cause it’s getting colder by this time, down to 12-16 °C.
The middle of the month often brings a change in the mood of nature, and the sun sometimes warms the atmosphere to 27-29 °C. Sometimes they register even up 30-32°C!
Do you think this guarantees that things will continue to escalate, and the hot weather will smoothly turn into unbearable heat? It also happens that way (however, rarely).
But Don’t be Surprised
if it gets no hotter in Paris at the end of June, but on the contrary – a little cooler. And daytime temperatures seem to be reluctantly slipping from peaks to the more traditional for this time of 25 degrees Celsius.
At night, it is still cool, usually no more than 15-19 °C (and this is at best).
Approximately the same pattern is observed in the French capital every year. Sometimes, even in early June, air temperatures tend to range from 23-25 degrees Celsius. But in other years, they don’t even seem to want to know about the existence of values above 20-22 °C.
Humidity
It is high – June in Paris is considered (by meteorologists) to be one of the wettest months of the year. And you need to prepare for the fact that 2-3 days of your stay in the city may be complicated by rains.
The average number of wet days per month can reach up to 6-7. The usual precipitation rate is about 60 mm a month.
The reviews recommend not paying too much attention to such statistics. Mostly because wet Paris looks even more visually appealing than the dry one.

But this, of course, depends on the subjective perception. Anyway, it doesn’t hurt to stock up on an umbrella and a raincoat!
What to Take with You
It depends on whether you travel light or intend to relax in complete comfort. In the first case, you can limit yourself to luggage in the form of a backpack. In another case, you will still have to take a suitcase and some luggage with you.
Although mostly tourists prefer to buy things in Paris, and then take them away with them. Who’s what: souvenirs, groceries, fashionable clothes…
Sorry, we got distracted…
Need to Know
When preparing a trip, it is worth considering that the voltage of the household electrical network in France is 220 volts. But the sockets of the sockets are very different from those that, say, Russian or American citizens are used to – Type E is used in the country.
In most cases, a regular adapter is enough to charge laptops and other useful devices. But in some cases, you will also need a voltage adapter if your device cannot be powered from a 220 V mains.
We also recommend taking a multi-socket splitter with you. This device is definitely useful in those hotels and apartments where the number of outlets is less than the number you need (for simultaneous use).
As mentioned above, an umbrella is clearly not an unnecessary item in your travel luggage. Experienced travelers are required to take a power bank with them. Because you want to take pictures in France all the time, but sometimes there’s just nowhere to charge your camera or smartphone.
Clothes
What do people wear in Paris during June? There is no single style: on the street you can meet both citizens in shorts and T-shirts, and tourists elegantly dressed in jackets and pullovers.
If you go for a walk in the evening or at night along the embankments, throw a sweatshirt and a raincoat over your shoulders. Yes, exactly: both!

Prices in 2026
Find an inexpensive hotel: it’s not bad in terms of the condition of the rooms and the helpfulness of the staff, and at the same time it’s not located in the suburbs in the summer. Of course, if you’re lucky, but in general, it’s problematic to find a decent option for less than 180-200 euros per day (for two people).
What can you do – the popularity of the French capital among the masses is off the charts. And June, despite the disadvantages, is a very popular time!
Due to the generally small selection of options, we recommend the option that we personally like, although quite expensive (from €190 per night) – Appartement Gérard in the 13th arrondissement. Judging by the reviews, not only we are satisfied with the 30 m2 apartment, but others also praise these cozy and functional apartments. Stationed not only near the metro, but also near the Place d’Italia!
Located on the outskirts, that is, in fact, no longer in Paris, but in Les Kremlins-Bicetre, the great greet Hotel Paris 13 Porte d’Italie. A way cheaper hotel, where you can rent a room in June for ~ €130-160 per day (for two).
Excursions in Paris in the summer are also not cheap. Except for cruises on the Seine, for which you have to pay about €16-17.
Sightseeing tour of the city or, for example, its individual parts: The Latin Quarter, Montmartre, as part of a group with a guide, will cost €40 (per person) and above. You will have to pay from €50-60 to visit the Louvre without waiting in line and with an art-savvy guide.
At least the same amount will have to be paid for passage without a queue and with an escort to the Eiffel Tower.
What to Do
You will almost certainly have an exceptionally rich program planned and will want to see, if not all the interesting places in Paris, then at least the “must-see” ones. Because, as mentioned above, the weather in the French capital in June is (sometimes relatively) well suited for hiking.
Of course, you should prepare a plan B in case of heavy rain on the day that you are going to spend, for example, visiting Disneyland. But this is unlikely to cause difficulties – there are many museums in Paris. And those of them that are not part of the big trio: the Louvre, Orsay and Pompidou, rarely see foreign tourists in their halls.
Again, you can always go shopping in Paris – the city has an incredible number of shops and shopping malls. And the prices in some of them will frankly please American and British travelers.

You’ll probably want to take a cruise along the Seine – but what about when the nature around you is dressed in such bright and fresh outfits? Most tourists cannot refuse to climb the Eiffel Tower, even if they have been there before.
In order not to stand at the back of a long queue, you need to purchase an online ticket for a selected date in advance. Do not think that you will be able to do this after arriving in Paris – tickets for June dates are sold even in May!
Once Again
we invite you to visit Montmartre Hill, the highest natural elevation in the French capital. And there: go inside (for free), and then climb the dome of the Sacre Coeur (for money).
Is it worth trying to get to the performance at the Moulin Rouge Cabaret? Everyone has to decide it for themselves!
The Marais quarter and the Latin Quarter, the Isle de la Cité and Notre Dame de Paris (the cathedral reopened to the public in December 2024), the Luxembourg Gardens are “strictly recommended” attractions in Paris.
A traveler no too tight on time can add the Pantheon and the Invalides, the Paris Opera to the list.
Where to Go
A day trip to Versailles, where the most magnificent of the French palaces is located, looks quite natural. History and architecture lovers may also want to visit Fontainebleau or Chantilly, get to Blois and take (at least a short) trip through the Loire Valley.
At least every second tourist tries to travel from Paris to Normandy for at least 1 day. Where are such amazing sights of France as Giverny and Mont Saint Michel, Rouen and the Etretat rocks.
